The Girl with Multiple Personalities and DCFC concert!

It’s Spring break. You know what that means! Bright sun, a dark tan, relaxing by the pool, and the time of your life with your closest friends. It all just sounds too good to be true, right?

Well, you are correct. It is far too good to be true. I have yet to experience all that was mentioned above. Sure, I don’t NEED any of those things. I am not the type of person that would sacrifice a kidney to go on vacation or something. Okay, I might be embellishing a little. But a lot of people in this country can be like that, especially when they live in arctic temperatures for the whole winter and part of spring even.

Anyway, as I was saying… Spring break of 2009 has been a bit of a let down. However, for the past week, I’ve been looking at things with a brighter perspective. Yes, my glass is half full, ladies and gentlemen. Sure, all my friends are off enjoying the Floridian sun and sandy beaches BUT did they get to see Hannah Montana the movie? I think not!

The movie was exactly what I had been expecting. In a nutshell, it was about Miley Stewart/Hannah Montana and how she had to choose between the two lives she’s spent so long separating. Sounds more like someone with multiple personalities if you ask me. I’m not the biggest Hannah fan so I really didn’t know which turn this movie would take. I mean, the only TV I watch regularly is Lost or The Office. I’ve been known to hit up the Disney Channel and watch a few good minutes here and there (enough to know several Hannah songs and know all the co-stars). So when I walked into the theatre, I knew exactly what I was getting myself into.

The plot wasn’t all that great. The acting wasn’t the best I’d ever seen. And truth be told, it made me miss the Disney classics I grew up falling in love with. I can say however, I became ecstatic and overjoyed when I heard the wonderful song Backwards sung only by the greatest modern country band, Rascal Flatts. I was in musical heaven if only for a moment.

So, my spring break hasn’t been amazing. Big deal, the movie was overall enjoyable, and this Saturday I get to see another great band, Death Cab for Cutie in concert. I cannot even contain my enthusiasm! I’ve wanted to go to their concert for as long as I can remember. In conclusion, my spring break won’t end up a total dud.

Oh and side note:
Sorry I never have the time, or patience to write on here very much. When I find a good topic to discuss, I’ll be sure to write more.

Bad Weather, Scary Movies

This morning, I was dreading the thought of getting out of my warm and comfortable bed, but I did anyways because my mother forced me. So, I hesitantly rolled out of bed and felt around for the light switch which I turned on and had to shield my burning eyes for a minute or so. I didn't bother dressing up any more than is necessary for good ol' Lutheran High North. I mean, if I don't HAVE to dress up, chances are I won't (certain exceptions may apply). I like being comfortable. So I got ready, had some OJ, brushed my teeth, and didn't bother looking outside before I left. When I walked out to my car I stopped in utter disbelief.

Snow in April? Seriously? We haven't had enough snow already?! Don't get me wrong, I love the snow but there comes a point where the cold, wet, slushy weather just gets old. It kind of depresses me actually. I have never been so ready for summer! I think I was ready for summer back in February actually. I could do without the snow right about now; however, I wouldn't mind a really big thunderstorm though. I am DEFINITELY in need of a good rainstorm.

This is another random blog that has no particular pattern or real purpose for that matter, so if you're still reading, thanks! On to a new topic, my good friend Kyle is deathly afraid of just about everything. So it only makes sense that I would convince him to watch a scary movie with me! I've been trying come up with a really good one but everything just seems beyond cheesy! So please let me know which movie you would recommend!

Thanks!

ACT and Book!

I just took the ACT today, for about the millionth time and my brain is, literally, in pain. I have yet to receive the score I would like and if this one doesn't do it for me, I might just scream. English was easy, as usual but math and science were impossible. The probability that I received anything higher than a 20 is unlikely.
But on a happier note, I'm finally starting my new book today, The World is Black and White. I can't wait to finish it! This truly goes to show how exciting my life really is. Well, I didn't really have much to rant about sooo enjoy your weekend!
